Kris Aquino to Transfer to GMA Network this 2014

Posted on December 31, 2013 | 10:29 AM

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is 90% sure that she will transfer to rival network GMA-7 in 2014, a source told The Philippine Star columnist Salve Asis.

Kris Aquino to Transfer to GMA-7 this 2014?

The source said that Kris will be a Kapuso very soon and that "no amount of pressure from anybody" can hinder her decision to switch networks. The source added that Kris can't say no to the "professional and financial side" of the offer, the reason she has made up her mind to do network transfer.

According to reports, Kris has already talked with GMA Network's majority share owner Atty. Felipe Gozon, and Smart's Manny V. Pangilinan, who is currently negotiating to buy the share of the former. Rumor has it that when the buy-out prosper, MVP will make Kris the president of the network.

Sources also said that there's a high possibility that Kris Aquino will do the TV adaptation of the box office movie My Little Bossings in the Kapuso network, of course with Vic Sotto and Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Kris Aquino's contract with ABS-CBN expired last October and currently Kris is on a vacation in London with sons Josh and Bimby. According to Kris, leaving the country is also her way of evading intrigues.

"Para iwas intriga na rin muna kasi napapabalita 'yung pagre-renew [ng contract]. Magmumuni-muni po at aalis," she told ABS-CBN News.

It can be recalled that Kris Aquino was among the original hosts of the '90s Kapuso showbiz-oriented talk show Startalk along with Boy Abunda. The two later transferred to ABS-CBN and hosted The Buzz.

Kim Chiu is Dyesebel in ABS-CBN Remake?

Posted on December 30, 2013 | 12:48 PM

Actress Kim Chiu is said to be the one chosen to play the role of the love-lorn mermaid Dyesebel on ABS-CBN. According to a report by Salve Asis on The Philippine Star, Kim Chiu bagged the most-coveted role of Dyesebel.

Kim Chiu as Dyesebel and Xian Lim as Fredo

"Si Kim Chiu pala ang final choice para maging Dyesebel ng ABS-CBN. Kasalukuyan na raw nagti-training si Kim at any moment ay magti-taping sila," Asis wrote on her column published Monday.

Early this year, ABS-CBN has finalized the deal on the network's acquisition of 13 titles or characters created by Mars Ravelo, including the superheroine Darna, the everyman-superhero character Captain Barbell and the love-lorn mermaid Dyesebel. This sparked the guessing game on the lucky (and deserving) actors who get to portray them.

The network started to air teasers for Dyesebel last month which heightened the anticipation of the fans. Early reports had Anne Curtis, KC Concepcion, Angel Locsin, Erich Gonzales, Sarah Geronimo, Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu in the list of actresses being considered for the role.

Although there's no official confirmation from the network yet, Kim Chiu's fans are now jumping for joy while others said that the role doesn't fit Kim and insisted their favorites for Dyesebel, including Anne Curtis and Jessy Mendiola. The latter was recently rumored to have bagged the role of Dyesebel and if we are to take hints from posts in social media, Jessy might have been the chosen one, trying new hair extensions that could possibly be for her mermaid role.

If Kim Chiu is indeed Dyesebel, it's a no brainer that Xian Lim will be her lover Fredo. The two are currently busy promoting their second movie together, Bride for Rent.

Whether it's Kim Chiu or Jessy Mendiola, great interest has now been generated for Dyesebel and the only thing we could do is wait for the official announcement very soon.

Dyesebel will start taping in January and the show is expected to air first quarter of 2014. This is another Dreamscape Entertainment production and will be directed by Don Cuaresma and Francis Xavier Pasion.

MMFF 2013 Awards Night: Vice Ganda, KC Concepcion Favored to Win Best Actor and Actress

The 39th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal (MMFF 2013 awards night) will happen Friday, December 27 at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City. Eight films will be vying for the coveted awards.

http://bidakapamilya.blogspot.com/2013/12/mmff-2013-awards-night-list-of-winners.html

KC Concepcion was among the favorites to win the Best Actress trophy for her daring role as a femme fatale in Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story requiring her to do action and sexy scenes.

KC will be in a tight battle against Diamond star Maricel Soriano as the mother of a quadruplets with different genders in Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy and Eugene Domingo as the twins Kimmy and Dora in the prequel of the successful Kimmy Dora series.

Aside from these three, Aiza Seguerra of My Little Bossings and Kathryn Bernardo of Pagpag are also considered for the award.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda's exemplary performance as a girl, boy, gay and lesbian in the movie Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy made him a strong contender for the Best Actor award. Vice will be up against Gov. ER Ejercito of Boy Golden, Robin Padilla of 10,000 Hours and Rocco Nacino of Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir.

Vic Sotto of My Little Bossings and Sef Cadayona of Kaleidoscope World could also do well and score an upset over the favorite Best Actor contenders above.

The MMFF Awards night is a huge factor in boosting ticket sales for movies announced as winners, especially the Best Picture. However, this is not usually the case as viewers tend to watch the movie which they feel will give them great comfort.

Kathryn Bernardo and family celebrates Christmas

Kathryn, who was an Iglesia ni Cristo member, got negative comments from some netizens who possibly are Iglesia ni Cristo members like Kathryn. According to them, what Kathryn and her family did was against their doctrine.

"Sana kc d kn lng nag post ng pics..kung gusto nyo mag celebraate.para d k nausig...tas s likod nyo pa ang laking christmas tree s loob ng bhay nyo...alm u nmn bawal..sna sinrili nyo n lnb pag cecelebrate..pra kcng lantaran mong pinapakita ang alm mong paglabag sa atin..." commented one netizen.

Iglesia ni Cristo members do not celebrate Christmas, a Pagan-associated tradition. According to them, Jesus Christ being born on December 25 was just a myth and that the Holy Scriptures does not specify the date of the Lord's birth.

Meanwhile, fans and followers of Kathryn defended the actress.

"Tignan mo mga tao ngayon MAPAGHUSGA talaga hahahys!! She just want to be happy. People should never judge her because she just really want to spent time with her family. Hindi ba nila gets yan? Duhh!! Shut up haters!!" posted one fan.
